CHALLENGING DIGITAL RISKS
Today’s young people grow up surrounded by digital content that strongly influences how they learn, interact and form relationships. Alongside opportunities for connection and self-expression, the online world carries risks such as:
exposure to pornography
sexting and grooming
misleading information around sexual health
The project aims to equip youth workers with the knowledge and strategies to guide teenagers safely, promoting informed decision-making and responsible online behaviour.
SEXUAL EDUCATION AS A TOOL FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
Sexuality Connect promotes inclusive sexual education that reaches all young people, including marginalized groups. Through interactive training and workshops, youth workers:
learn to deliver high-quality sexual education
gain digital literacy skills to safely navigate online content
apply inclusive and respectful approaches to sensitive topics
LEARNING THROUGH TRAINING & PLATFORM
Youth workers participate in international training sessions and co-design a permanent e-learning platform, offering:
practical tools, interactive content and reliable resources
a safe digital space for young people to learn and share
long-term access to methodologies and materials for inclusive sexual education
WHAT WE DO
The project is fully aligned with the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and with the fundamental values of the European Union, promoting dignity, equality, non-discrimination and active participation of young people.
Sexuality Connect strengthens youth work and promotes equality by:
training youth workers to deliver high-quality sexual education and digital literacy
building a permanent e-learning platform that remains available beyond the project
promoting inclusion by ensuring access for marginalized groups
encouraging international cooperation and exchange of best practices across Europe
By addressing both digital and social challenges, the project empowers young people to make informed choices, fosters open dialogue and contributes to a more inclusive and respectful European society.
The project promotes safe and supportive space. Moreover, through collaboration it seeks to inspire sustainable change across youth organizations and communities.
