On 14 June 2026, the KEHSIA team welcomed participants, partners, educators, young people, and community members for a vibrant day dedicated to dialogue, learning, creativity, and celebration. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Mamer, Luxembourg, and blessed with warm sunshine, the event provided the perfect setting for meaningful exchanges, new connections, and inspiring conversations.
The gathering brought together different generations and stakeholders around a common goal: empowering young people, promoting participation, and creating opportunities for personal and social growth. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to discover and engage with three important initiatives: the final event of the Idée en Action project, the presentation of the FLYE project and its winning documentary Endless Journey, and the introduction of the SALTO HOP platform within the framework of the Sexuality Connect project.
Celebrating the Success of “Idée en Action”
The event began by marking the successful conclusion of the Idée en Action project. This final gathering was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, commitment, and creativity demonstrated by all participants throughout the project journey. It was a moment to reflect on the ideas that had been transformed into concrete actions, the skills that had been developed, and the meaningful connections that had been created along the way.
The atmosphere was filled with pride and enthusiasm as participants shared memories and experiences from the project. Gaialux, the project coordinator, together with KEHSIA, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the schools, teachers, and students who actively contributed to the initiative. Their dedication and collaboration played a crucial role in making the project a success and in creating a positive impact within the community.
Giving Voice to Young Changemakers: The FLYE Project
The second part of the event focused on youth participation and social engagement through the presentation of the FLYE project. Participants had the opportunity to watch the educational documentary Endless Journey, created by Ahmed Gul, whose project was selected as the winner of the Youth Participatory Budget Call launched by KEHSIA in March.
The documentary offered a powerful and emotional insight into themes such as migration, war, displacement, and the challenges faced by refugees during their journey toward safety and inclusion. Through personal stories and compelling narratives, Endless Journey encouraged participants to reflect on the realities experienced by many people around the world.
The screening was followed by an engaging discussion, during which young people shared their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives. The conversation highlighted the importance of empathy, intercultural understanding, and active citizenship. Participants also learned more about the opportunities offered through the FLYE initiative, discussing how young people can access funding and support to transform their own ideas into impactful community projects.
Sexuality Connect workshop: promoting Safe and Inclusive Youth Work through SALTO HOP
Another key highlight of the day was the presentation of the SALTO HOP platform as part of the Sexuality Connect project workshop. This interactive session explored essential topics for young people and youth workers, including digital safety, healthy relationships, consent, respect, and inclusive sexuality education. The session was build up on the topics presented during Sexuality Connect online training (visible on Sexuality Connect Youtube Channel)
The Sexuality Connect workshop introduced participants to innovative educational resources and practical tools designed to support youth workers in addressing sensitive topics in a safe, accessible, and inclusive way. The discussion encouraged open dialogue and critical thinking, while emphasizing the importance of creating environments where young people feel informed, respected, and empowered.
The workshop demonstrated how digital platforms such as SALTO HOP can contribute to strengthening youth work practices and promoting well-being, equality, and inclusion within communities.
Beyond the presentations and workshops, the event also offered plenty of opportunities for informal networking and community building. Participants enjoyed delicious food, live music, and moments of relaxation together in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The sunny weather and positive energy made the gathering even more enjoyable, creating a sense of togetherness that extended throughout the day.

The event once again demonstrated the power of bringing people together around shared values and common goals. Through dialogue, creativity, participation, and collaboration, ideas can become actions, and actions can create lasting change.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who joined us, contributed their ideas, shared their experiences, and helped make this day such a meaningful and memorable occasion. We look forward to continuing this journey together and creating many more opportunities for learning, participation, and community growth.
