We can’t wait to explore new creative avenues during SALTO YOUTH’s Human Rights and Creativity Forum

We are thrilled to share that KEHSIA will be participating in the upcoming four-day training conference organized by SALTO YOUTH. This conference is dedicated to exploring creative approaches for historical-political and human rights education for both young people and multipliers (theatre, football, biographies, and music).

Hosted at the memorial and educational centre Cinqfontaines, in collaboration with the Erasmus+ National Agency of Luxembourg, the training will delve into innovative methods to engage youth in understanding historical-political contexts and human rights issues. The Cinqfontaines Centre, situated on the grounds of a former monastery near Troisvierges, holds a significant historical background, having been used as a place of internment for Jews during WWII. Today, it stands as a central remembrance site and educational center, focusing on themes such as the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, racism, democracy, and human rights.

During the conference, participants will:

  • Explore Creative Approaches
  • Engage with Diverse Institutions
  • Reflect on Challenges
  • Exchange Best Practices
  • Encourage Creative Methods

Expected outcomes include:

  • Establishment of a Network: Creation of a network and active exchange between youth education centers and memorial sites.
  • Project Approaches: Development of at least one new project approach with initial concept ideas.
  • Toolbox Creation: Formation of a toolbox that can be utilized in centers to create new educational offerings.

We are excited to be part of this enriching experience, fostering connections, and contributing to the advancement of historical-political and human rights education. Stay tuned for updates and insights as we embark on this journey of creativity and learning!
