On 14 September 2026, the Coding&Co-Doing Project Coordination Meeting took place, providing an important opportunity for the partners to review the progress of ongoing activities and plan the next steps of the project.
During the meeting, the partners discussed progress across the different work areas, with particular attention to Project Management, the preparation of learning spaces and the purchase of resources for participating schools, as well as the preparation of the upcoming implementation and experimentation activities.
New resources and learning spaces for schools
An important step forward concerns the preparation of educational spaces. The purchase and provision of resources for participating schools is currently underway, providing them with materials and tools to support the activities planned within the project.
The aim is to create learning environments that encourage experimentation and promote an active, creative and participatory approach, enabling teachers and children to explore and apply the methodologies developed throughout the project.
From planning to experimentation
Following the preparation of the learning spaces, the project will move into its action-research phase, directly involving the pilot schools for approximately six months.
During this phase, experimental activities will be carried out with children, while the implementation of the methodologies in everyday educational practice will be observed. Regular exchanges between the working groups will help connect theory with practical experience, gathering valuable insights to assess and progressively improve the activities.
Particular attention will also be given to monitoring, through specific tools designed to collect both quantitative and qualitative data and document the experiences developed within the schools.
Training, exchange and shared experiences
Over the coming months, support and training sessions for teachers will be organised, focusing on project tools, activity planning and the regular sharing of experiences and results.
The project will also include a job-shadowing experience in Italy in spring 2027, offering teachers the opportunity to observe activities in participating schools and take part in moments of exchange and co-design.
Towards the final Guidelines
The observations and results collected during the experimentation phase will provide the basis for the development of the Coding&Co-Doing Guidelines. The final document will bring together methodologies, experiences and practical recommendations emerging from the work carried out with teachers and children.
The Guidelines will be made available online in English, Italian and French, helping to disseminate the project results and enabling other schools and educational communities to learn from and make use of the practices developed.
The Project Meeting held on 14 September therefore marked another important step forward in the Coding&Co-Doing journey: from planning to concrete implementation, with new tools, resources and activities becoming increasingly integrated into the everyday life of the participating schools over the coming months.
