Belgrade– November 27, 2025 – The Women We Walk (WWW!) project officially enters its operational phase! On November 27th, the kick-off meeting was held in Belgrade, marking the official start of the project’s implementation activities and bringing together all partners involved in its realization. The main goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and physical activity among adult women through accessible and innovative grassroots sports initiatives.

The project targets adult women of all backgrounds, encouraging their participation in inclusive and low-impact sports activities, with a particular focus on Walking Football. This easy-to-play and low-injury sport allows women to stay active in a safe, social and motivating environment, while also fostering European values such as equality, inclusion and the fight against discrimination.
It is coordinated by FC RED STAR (Serbia) and implemented in partnership with USMA Padova (Italy), Women Sportive Football Club “Noroc” (Moldova), FC Apollonia Pontika (Bulgaria), KEHSIA (Luxembourg), and the Community Educational Research Centre – CERC (Slovenia). The project brings together six organizations from across Europe, combining expertise in sport, education and social inclusion to create meaningful and lasting impact at the grassroots level.
During the kick-off meeting, partners reviewed the overall project structure and defined their respective roles and responsibilities. Discussions focused on the project objectives, methodology, timeline and upcoming activities, as well as coordination and communication processes to ensure smooth and effective cooperation throughout the project’s duration. This first meeting laid the foundations for a well-organised launch and a shared vision for the months ahead.

The initiative is fully aligned with the Erasmus+ Sport programme, as it supports grassroots sport, gender equality and social inclusion through physical activity. The project is co-funded by the European Union under Erasmus+.
Through Women We Walk, sport becomes more accessible, inclusive and empowering for women across Europe.
Stay tuned for updates as we share the project’s progress, activities and results!
