Kehsia engaged, as a partner of GAIALUX, to promote the Sustainable Development Goals

June 18 – Nature Meets the Sustainable Development Goals at LUGA

Today’s SDGs workshop brought together everything we have learned over the past sessions — and this time, we took it outside! Surrounded by nature, our group met at LUGA, Luxembourg Urban Garden in Pfaffenthal, an inspiring location that blends green innovation with sustainable community living.

This session continued our journey of exploring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Bingo for the Nature: A Game of Discovery

After a warm introduction, our seven students launched into a nature-themed Bingo game, a playful and interactive way to connect with the environment.

Some of the challenges included: “Find something yellow”, “Hug a tree”, “Spot an insect”, “Smell a flower”, “Touch a leaf”.

This simple activity encouraged mindful observation, sensory engagement, and a deeper appreciation of the green space around us. Laughter and curiosity guided our steps through the garden!

SDG 11 in Action: Inclusive, Safe, Resilient & Sustainable Cities

At the LUGA LabGrow Together, Grow Green, students discovered how the space itself is a living example of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

The Lab includes:

  • An indoor exhibit on urban sustainability

  • A shared outdoor garden where communities learn to grow together
  • A section on edible plants and circular gardening practices

The school adopted a plant to take back a memory and to bring nature into their school.

A Taste of Italy: Interculturality in the Garden

To conclude the workshop, we came together for a moment of reflection and feedback, sharing personal takeaways and favorite memories.

This final moment was made even more special by a touch of interculturality, a taste of Italian culinary culture that reminded us how food, nature, and heritage are deeply interconnected.

Thank You

A heartfelt thank you to Fondation Sommer for supporting this workshop and to our partner Gaialux for making this Idée en Action project possible.
