On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, the KEHSIA team proudly took part in the feminist march held in Luxembourg, reaffirming its strong and ongoing commitment to gender equality and women’s rights.
The march brought together a wide and diverse group of participants, united by a shared determination to advocate for a more inclusive and equitable society. Alongside many others, the KEHSIA team walked through the city from Place de Paris to Place Guillaume, raising their voices and carrying banners created especially for the occasion. These banners were prepared the day before during a creative workshop hosted by the MUDAM, where the team gathered on Saturday afternoon to collaborate, reflect, and visually express the values at the heart of their work.
Participating in the march was not only a moment of collective action, but also an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing challenges that gender inequality continues to pose in today’s society. Despite progress in recent years, disparities and gender-based violence remain deeply rooted issues that require continuous attention and concrete action. Experiences like this reinforce KEHSIA’s mission and strengthen its resolve to contribute to meaningful and lasting change.
Every day, KEHSIA is committed to challenging gender stereotypes, preventing and addressing gender-based violence, and promoting the empowerment and representation of women across public institutions, private organizations, and the third sector. The organization firmly believes that placing women at the center of social, economic, and political life is essential to building a fairer and more sustainable future.
This year’s International Women’s Rights Day held an even deeper significance for the team, as it coincided with KEHSIA’s third anniversary. Celebrating this important milestone while actively participating in such a meaningful and symbolic event made the day even more special. It was not only a moment to look back on the progress achieved so far, but also an opportunity to renew the organization’s commitment to its mission and to the values that continue to guide its work.
For KEHSIA, there could not have been a more fitting way to celebrate this anniversary: standing alongside the community, raising awareness, and contributing to a collective movement that strives for equality, dignity, and rights for all women.
