EMPOWER YOUTH FOR GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
The I.D.E.E. en action project, led by GAIALUX asbl in partnership with KEHSIA, empowers youth aged 12 to 18 through activities that promote global citizenship and awareness of today’s challenges.
DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE ON SUSTAINABILITY & SOCIAL ISSUES
Global citizenship is essential for building a sustainable world, as outlined by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (2015). I.D.E.E. en action offers interactive activities, workshops, and discussions to help young people from all backgrounds engage with and shape a more sustainable future.
PROMOTE LEADERSHIP & CREATIVITY THROUGH LBMS & ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Global Citizenship sensitisation is key to strengthening the youth’s abilities to interact and raise their voices on global issues. It is also a way to train the leaders of tomorrow. Because the youth have their role to play, give them the keys to make it.
WHAT WE DO
I.D.E.E. en Action is coordinated by GAIALUX asbl in partnership with KEHSIA to promote an educational initiative that empowers young people to become active global citizens through innovative and creative learning experiences. Rooted in pedagogy, creativity, and empowerment, the project offers an engaging and structured approach to education that encourages young participants to think critically and act responsibly in the world around them.
By organizing interactive workshops, reflective activities, and using experimental pedagogy, I.D.E.E. en Action helps students and young adults explore complex global challenges while strengthening their leadership and problem-solving skills. These experiences aim to transform students into agents of change, capable of understanding global interconnections and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future. The project also promotes the integration of global citizenship education into school environments by training students with innovative content and participatory teaching methods.
I.D.E.E. en Action fosters a learning environment where creativity, dialogue, and reflection guide young people in building a strong foundation for lifelong leadership. By equipping youth with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate today’s global challenges, the project ensures a lasting impact on individual empowerment and collective transformation.
CONSORTIUM
AS PART OF THE PROJECT, KEHSIA WILL CONTRIBUTE TO SEVERAL KEY AREAS:
COMMUNICATION:
- Contributes to the design and content of the digital platform to enhance visibility and youth networking
- Assists in documentation and creative communication efforts, including video creation for educational replication
- Creates a sharing platform for the activities’ outcomes
ARTISTIC & SENSORY ENGAGEMENT:
- Integrates artistic media (painting, photography, poetry, literature) into all stages of the project
- Collaborates with a team of contributing artists to bring diverse perspectives and mediums into the workshops
- Ensures accessibility and creative expression in alignment with project themes (global citizenship, sustainability, inclusion)
WORKSHOPS & CAPACITY BUILDING:
- Designs and implements art-based workshops for young participants
- Leads participatory activities using methods such as co-design and role-playing
- Facilitates creative sessions to promote leadership, empathy, and awareness among youth
STORYTELLING & SOMATIC LEARNING:
- Supports experiential learning with artistic tools in tandem with Gaialux’s LBMS (Laban/Bartenieff Movement System) somatic methods
- Engages youth in reflective storytelling to express their views on social and ecological issues
SUSTAINABILITY & YOUTH LEADERSHIP:
- Collaborates on developing methods for long-term integration of artistic practices in youth programs and schools
